About Saniyyah Sahar
Saniyyah Sahar is a licensed cosmetologist, natural hairstylist, wellness practitioner, and Los Angeles native dedicated to the care and love of curly, kinky, and wavy textures. Her journey began at the AVEDA Institute in New York City in 2014, where she cultivated the technical foundation and creative artistry to craft personalized, easy-to-maintain styles that celebrate each client’s natural beauty.
A lifelong learner and healer at heart, Saniyyah is certified through Mahogany Hair Revolution Natural Hair Academy under Dr. Kari Williams and holds a DK Goddess Loc Master certification. She expanded her commitment to holistic care by becoming a certified Peer Support Facilitator through BEAM’s Black Mental Health & Healing Justice program in 2021, and also completed her certification with PsychoHairapy, integrating trauma-informed mental health first aid into the hair care experience.
Her chair has been a safe space for icons including Nzingha Stewart, Ava DuVernay, Ms. Dianne Reeves, Zuri Adele, Roxane Gay, and Oscar-winner Matthew A. Cherry. She has also served as an educator and brand advocate for legacy Black beauty brands such as Carol’s Daughter, Shea Moisture, and Madam CJ Walker Beauty.
At the heart of her work is a mission to create sacred, affirming spaces where hair care is a form of healing, resistance, and deep self-love.

From our initial consultation to the final moments of your styling session, I prioritize the long-term health of your natural hair. I’ll guide you through personalized tools, techniques, and routines to help you care for your crown between visits. But more than that, I honor the sacredness of our time together.
Every service takes place within a private salon suite in Culver City, intentionally curated to feel intimate, serene, and affirming. This is a space where you are deeply considered—where luxury meets love, and where elevated care honors your whole self.
